WBSE Madhyamik Result 2018: The streets of West Bengal are beaming with joy as the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has finally declared the WBSE Madhyamik Result 2018 on the official website, i.e. wbresults.nic. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education conducts the West Bengal Madhyamik Examination every year. This year, the board organised the examinations for WBSE Madhyamik or Class 10th from 12th - 21st March. Last year, nearly 11 lakh students had appeared for the WB Madhyamik Pariksha Result 2017. The overall pass percentage of students stood at 85.65 per cent in 2017.The WBBSE 10th Results 2018 will be live and available online on the official websites i.e. wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.org. Alternatively, the WB 10th Result 2018 is also available on our website wb10.jagranjosh.com, from where the students can easily download their WBBSE 2018 Results scorecards. As per last year’s official press release by WBBSE, 9,80,355 students appeared for the examinations. Anwesa Payne topped the examination with 98.57 per cent.
The West Bengal Class 10 Results will be announced in a press meet organised by the Board. The State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee will formally release the WBBSE 2018 Results for Class 10th students. Following this, the West Bengal Secondary Board will publish the West Bengal Class 10 Results online on the official websites like wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.org as well as on our leading educational portal, wb10.jagranjosh.com.
The WBBSE Madhyamik Result 2018 will be declared for the examinations that started on 12th March at 11:45 am and concluded at 3 pm. Extra time of 15 minutes was given for reading the question papers and completing the formalities. The total number of examinees this year is 11,02,921, of whom 6,21,366 are girls. The number of boys appearing in the examination is 4,81,555. The total number of examinees increased by 31,075 this year, where the strength of girl students is 1,39,811 more than boys.
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is entrusted with responsibilities such as providing the curriculum for affiliated schools, monitoring the implementation of education policies and conducting yearly West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination. Each year, around 10 lakh plus students take the West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination.
