JEECUP Result 2020: Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC) in Uttar Pradesh is responsible for declaring the JEECUP Result 2020. JEECUP cut off 2020

The cut off of JEECUP is the minimum marks that a candidate must obtain in order to qualify the entrance exam. For each of the seat allotment rounds the JEECUP 2020 cut off will be released. Each participating institute of JEECUP 2020 exam will release its cut off on the basis of which candidates will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process. The JEECUP cut off varies every year depending on the programme and institute. The JEECUP cut off 2020 depends on factors like candidates’ category, number of seats available and applications received for admission. JEECUP 2020 Counselling

The counselling of JEECUP 2020 is expected to be held in the last week of May, 2020 by the conducting authority. JEECUP Result 2020- Seat Allocation Process

Following the JEECUP 2020 counselling process, the seat allocation process will commence. Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of their choices, reservation category and UPJEE State Open Rank. JEECUP Seat Reservation

As per UP Government rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

Vertical Reservations

  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
  •  Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%

Horizontal Reservations

  • Persons with Disability (PwD) minimum 40% disability) – 3%
  • Freedom Fighter – 2%
  • Ward of Military personnel – 5%
  •  Girl Candidate of All Categories – 20%

Founded in 1986-87, Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has it’s headquarter at Lucknow. UP JEECUP board is regulated under the Society Act, 1860 and is formed to conduct and execute the admission process in various colleges and universities in UP state. As part of its responsibilities, the council conducts the state level entrance exam i.e. UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination) or UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam.
