45% Decline in the number of Applicants for MH-CET 2014

Maharashtra has seen downfall in the number of registrations for Management or MBA programmes for the 2014 academic session. The 45% decline in the number applicants has been observed for the MH-CET 2014-15, a state common entrance test for admissions to management institutes.

Maharashtra has seen downfall in the number of registrations for Management or MBA programmes for the 2014 academic session. The 45% decline in the number applicants has been observed for the MH-CET 2014-15, a state common entrance test for admissions to management institutes.

The figure of MH-CET applicants in 2011-12 was roughly 96,000, which now has fallen to become 53,000 approximately, for admissions for the academic year 2014-15.

On the contrary, as compared to 2013 the registrations for MBA programme in 2014 have increased according to the experts. However, no data has been obtained to validate it.

In 2013-14, admissions to MBA/MMS colleges in located in Maharashtra were done based on scores of Common management admission test (CMAT), which was conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education.
