A New Punjab Employment Era: 55,000 + Government Jobs on Merit — No Recommendations

Education, Health, Police, and Power Department Opportunities for Youth; CM declares, "Hard work will now define identity"

With Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann at the helm, Punjab is seeing a record change in the field of employment.

To date, the youth have been given 55,000 + government jobs, while including private and contractual, the employment figure has surpassed 1.5 lakh.

Chief Minister Mann added that the government jobs have been given for the first time purely on merit without any recommendations or influence. He added, "Now in Punjab, there will be no bribery, no lobbying — only talent and hard work will be valued." He also called upon the youths to serve people with a sense of dedication and public service.

Between 2022 and 2025, the maximum recruitments were done in the Education, Health, Police, and Power departments. More than 2,000 posts were recruited for the Education Department, including 725 Special Educators. For the Police Department, 1,746 constables were recruited, whereas PSPCL recruited 2,500 Assistant Linemen, out of whom 837 are female. The Health Department also recruited more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, and paramedical professionals.

The Chief Minister stressed that empowering the youth by providing them employment is the actual mission of the government. This employment revolution is driving Punjab to a new era of honesty, self-sufficiency, and growth.
