AP SSC Physical Science paper 2025: General Instructions

  1. Question paper consists of 4 sections and 17 Questions.

  2. Internal Choice is there only for Q.No. 12 in Section-III and for all the Questions in Section-IV.

  3. In the duration of 2 hours, 15 minutes of time is allotted to read the Question paper.

  4. All answers should be written in the answer booklet only.

  5. Answer should be written neatly and legibly.

SECTION – I

1. Predict and write why the preparation of lime water is considered an exothermic reaction.
Ans: The preparation of lime water involves the dissolution of quicklime (CaO) in water, forming slaked lime (Ca(OH)₂). This reaction releases heat, making it an exothermic reaction.

2. Acidic nature of a substance is due to the formation of __________ ions in solution.
Ans: Acidic nature of a substance is due to the formation of hydrogen (H⁺) ions in solution.

3. Observe the following table:

In the above table, which is the strong acid?
Ans: Lemon juice is the strongest acid because it has the lowest pH value (2.2), indicating high acidity.

4. Which is the most ductile metal in nature?

5. Write any one use of vinegar.
Ans: Vinegar is used as a preservative in pickles and food items.

6. The human eye forms the image of an object at its ______.
