Agriculture Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) changed code number for 3 disciplines for ARS Examination which will be conducted in two sessions– Prelims and Mains– on 24 February 2013 and 23 June 2013 respectively followed by viva voce of successful candidates.
The Code Number in notification issued on 14 November 2012 mentioned in Annexure-II for Agricultural Statistics will now be 49 (instead of 40) and Agricultural Chemicals will now be 40 (instead of 49). Similarly the Code Number for Genetics and Plant Breeding will now be 05 (instead of 04).
The rest of the information, details, terms and conditions will remain the same for ARS Examination 2012 which will be conducted in 36 disciplines at 33 centres across the country. The Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination for determining eligibility for appointment as Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
ASRB will conduct ARS Examination and NET Examination separately from the current session. While National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination will be conducted twice in a year; ARS (Agriculture Research Scientist) Examination will be held once in a year. The syllabus, however, for both ARS and NET examinations will be same.
