Bihar Telecom Circle invites applications from eligible candidates to recruit Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification: The candidate must have obtained Three years Diploma in Engineering in any of the following disciplines: 

• Telecommunications Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Radio Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Instruments Technology
• Information Technology OR

MSc (Electronics) from a recognized institution/ University

Age Limit (as on 31 October 2011): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 27 years. Relaxation as per rules laid by Government of India

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC Candidate is Rs 500 and no fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ PH candidates. The application fees need to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of "A.O. (B&A), BSNL, % C.G.M.T. Patna.".

Pay Scale: Rs. 13,600 to 25,420 per month plus allowances

Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates will be done through written examination of only one paper of multiple choice objective type questions of three hours duration. The question paper will be divided in three parts

• Part- I: General Ability Test: (20 marks)
• Part-II: Basic Engineering (90 marks)
• Part-III: Specialisation (90 marks)

The total number of questions in the paper shall be 200 and each question shall carry one marks. Qualifying marks in the paper will be 40% for the candidates of unreserved communities and 33% for the candidates of SC/ ST/ OBC category.

How to apply: Neatly typed (only on one side of paper) copy in A 4 size [30 cms X 20 cms may be used for making application. Applications complete in all respects should reach "AGM (Estt) O/o the Chief General Manager Telecom, Bihar Telecom Circle, Sanchar Sadan, Budh Marg, Patna: 800001". The envelope containing the application must be super scribed with "APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF TELECOM TECHNICAL ASSISTANT" in block letters.

Three identical copies of recent Passport size Photographs out of which one should be pasted (not stapled or pinned) on the application form, duly attested, and the other two to be pasted on the admit card at the  place marked for this (Admit Card in Duplicate) (not to be attested) along with two self addressed unstamped envelopes (size 27 cm X 12 cm) should be enclosed.
