Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) invited applications from male candidates only for recruitment to 1 8 posts Technical posts (Group 'B' & 'C' Combatised) of Sub-Inspector (1 post) and Constable (17 posts) for Motor Transport Workshop Cadre in the Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. 1. Sub Inspector (Store Keeper): 1 post
Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 25 years
Qualifications: Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering;
Experience: 1-10+ years related service
2. Constable (Technical): 17 posts
a. CT (Auto Electrician): 5 posts
b. CT (Black Smith/ Tin Smith): 6 posts
c. CT (Vulcanize or Operator Tyre Repair Plant): 2 posts
d. CT (Upholster): 2 posts
e. CT (Store Keeper): 2 posts
Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200-20200 with GP of Rs.2000
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 25 years
Qualifications: Matriculation/ Class 10 or equivalent + ITI in concerned trade
Experience: at least 3 years work experience in concerned trade
[Upper age limit is relax-able by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates]
Selection Procedure: Selection would be done through a 2-staged process:
Stage I – Written exam: BSF will hold an All India Examination for recruitment to the various posts.
Stage II – Documentation, Physical Measurements, PET, Practical Test, Interview & Medical Examination
The recruitment will be done on All India Basis and Selected candidate are liable to be posted anywhere in the Country.
The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
Examination Fee: Examination fee of Rs.50 is to be paid through a crossed ‘Postal Order’ or ‘Bank Draft’ drawn in favour of concerned IG and payable at concerned bank.
SC/ ST and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fees.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible male candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with detailed resume, two self-attested recent passport size photographs, copies of required certificates/ documents and 2 self-addressed, stamped envelopes to the nearest BSF center so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 14 July 2014.
On the envelope, candidates should super-scribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (TECHNICAL) / CONSTABLE(TECHNICAL) IN BSF FOR MOTOR TRANSPORT WORKSHOP CADRE-2014.”
