Finally the CBSE Class 12 results are out of all the regions. It took about 3 days from 26 May to 29 May 2014 to declare the results of all regions throughout the nation. CBSE, the largest education board of the country has huge number of private and government schools affiliated under it had 10,28,928 students who appeared for the examination that was conducted in 3,041 exam centers from 8,602 schools across the country this year .
As per reports, Thiruvanathapuram with 94.26 pass percentage topped in the region-wise performance list, followed by Chennai region with 91.63% and Delhi region with 86.78%. The list was followed by Bhubaneswar (86.25%), Ajmer (86.22%), Panchkula (82.84%), Allahabad (75.10%), Guwahati (75.80%), Patna (73.53%) and Dehradun (72.77%). Around 6.6% of students across the nation scored above 90%. Going with the regions, Chennai became the region having highest number of students scoring 95 percent.
This time also girls outshone boys in almost every region as they flourished with 88.52% whereas boys were left over with 78.27%.
As compared to CBSE Class 12 examinations 2013, survey says that an overall increase of 9.32% was seen in the number of candidates who registered for the examination. The percentage of girls registered for Class 12 exam increased by 10.18 percent as compared to last year and boys hiked with 8.72%.
Delhi boy Sarthak Aggarwal, a science student from DPS Vasant Kunj scored a remarkable 99.6%. G. Harikrishna of Air Force Bal Bharti School, central Delhi topped in the commerce stream with 99.2% and Mugdh Sethia, a student of DPS Indrapuram and Vasudha Dikshit of Vasant Valley school emerged topper in Humanities stream with 98.8 per cent.
