National Swimming Championship was conducted by CBSE in Vadodara on 19th October 2014. It was a four day championship. 36 national school records were created in different categories. Countries like Qatar, Dubai, Oman, Iran, UAE, Kuwait took part in 110 different events. More than 870 school swimmers from Indian states participated. The event took place at Vadodara Municipal Corporation Indoor Stadium Swimming Pool.
“This shows the kind of passion & improving standards of swimming in India. Such a large number of records have never been registered,” said Rajkumar, vice-president of Swimming Federation of India. Prize distribution was done by Saurabh Patel, the finance minister of Gujarat. The championship was organized by Urmi School of BRG Group.
