CBSE results, class 10 will get declared on 24 May 2012 at 4 pm. With the adrenaline pushing hard at the moment, Josh takes on a flash back on what is a better assessment, CBSE School evaluation or the CBSE conventional board examinations!

Back in September 2009, it was announced that starting session 2010-11, the board examinations would get optional for Class 10 students catering to CBSE affiliated schools. Students, at present can either take on the conventional board examinations or sit for the school based evaluations. This initiative was taken to help students take a ‘stress free trip' and not get bothered about the much ‘hype stir' caused by the board exams.

Whatever the popular opinion might look like, this exercise gave a ‘reality check' to a lot of schools and parents. Apparently, most students opted for the conventional board exams, this could be because of one major reason, being that, it is better to get evaluated anonymously (Board Exams) and then get to a school of your own choice, than getting evaluated by your own school and then sitting for an entrance exam to get to the school of your choice, because in that case, the situation boils down to the same concept.

Though one could call all of this a confusion game, at the end of the day, students remain the point of priority and hence it is now considered a done deal. Now the big question comes up, what after class 10 results?

Students after class 10th have a gamut of choices in their kitty. From an ‘art-sy' brain to a physics geek, a student can choose what he wants, in case the grades are on the low side, students need not worry, they may have to compromise with the school or the stream, but eventually every individual is capable of getting where he wants to.

There are many examples where an average student in school does great for himself eventually, and plus, today schools have revolutionarised their attitude and introduced various subjects , which can enable a student to study what he wants to, so in the end, the punch line remains - ‘miles to go before I sleep'.
