CBSE will soon introduce practicals for all subjects of class 11 & class 12. As per media reports, the board is planning to introduce practicals for subjects like English, History, Geography etc. This system will be introduced by the board from the academic session 2018-19. CBSE will soon introduce practicals for all subjects of class 11 & class 12. As per media reports, the board is planning to introduce practicals for subjects like History, Geography etc. This system will be introduced by the board from the academic session 2018-19.

So far, subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and some subjects of commerce have practical portions which account for 30% of maximum marks of the paper.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exams will be Mandatory from 2017-18, Major Changes in Assessment Structure

Now, according to the new scheme, subjects like History, English etc will also have practical portions besides theory portion. The practical portions of these subjects may account for 30 percent of the maximum marks, as in science subjects (i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology etc).

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is making a lot of changes to improve the quality of education in India. Recently, CBSE mandates two semester system for class 6-8 to bring in uniform test pattern from 2017-2018. The board has also scrapped 41 Academic Electives and Vocational Subjects from Class 12 Curriculum. Recently, CBSE has made major of changes in assessment structure of CBSE Class 10 board exam 2017-18.
