The All India Pre – Medical Test (AIPMT) for this year was held on 04 May 2014 at various centers across the country.
The Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) conducts the AIPMT annually to determine the eligibility of candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses Under 15% All India Quota seats and also for seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Institutions for the ongoing academic session.
In the year 2013, AIPMT was converted into NEET -- National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test conducted for MBBS/BDS admission in 2013, but now in the present scenario, it re-gained AIPMT nomenclature. However, the AIPMT syllabus remains the same as that for NEET UG.
AIPMT includes a written paper consisting of 180 objective-type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) for the time duration of 3 hours.
