CSIR - Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) invited application for recruitment to the post of Sr. Research Fellow (SRF)/ Jr. Research Fellow (JRF) & Jr. Research Fellow (JRF). The eligible candidates can attend walk-in interview on 8 October 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Institute. Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) is one of the foremost laboratories under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an Autonomous Body. The Institute was opened by Dr. B.C. Ray on 26 August 1950. The main objective of the Institute is to provide scientific industrial research and development in the area of glass, Ceramic and related materials that maximize the economic, environmental and societal benefit for the people of India.

Age Limit
• Sr. Research Fellow (SRF): Candidate’s upper age limit should not exceed 32 years as on 8 October 2013.
• Jr. Research Fellow (JRF): Candidate’s upper age limit should not exceed 28 years as on 8 October 2013.
• The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped.
Educational Qualification
• Sr. Research Fellow (SRF): M.Tech with at least 60% marks in Applied Optics or Optoelectronics or Photonics or Electronics or equivalent Or M.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Optics/Opto-Electronics with 2 years of research experience.
• Jr. Research Fellow (JRF): M.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Optics/Opto-Electronics/Photonics with at least 60% marks. Or B.Tech. with minimum 60% marks in Applied Optics or Optoelectronics or Photonics or Electronics or equivalent.
Pay Scale
• Sr. Research Fellow (SRF): Rs.18,000/- + H.R.A as admissible per month
• Jr. Research Fellow (JRF): Rs.16,000/- + H.R.A as admissible per month
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test/Interview.
