Delhi University released the seventh cut off list on 16 July 2012. D.U stands with a hand full of colleges, still waiting to fill in students for both the general and the OBC category.
Colleges such as Ramjas and Daulat Ram are still offering admissions in courses like BCom, BCom Honours and English Honours to the general category students. Nearly thirty six colleges still have their doors open for admission in BCom (H). Colleges like Hindu with a high cut-off of 90.5 to 93.5 per cent which is only one per cent less than the last cut-off, Ramjas with 87.5 to 89.5 per cent, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce with 83.75 to 86.5 per cent and Matreyi with 75 per cent have admissions are still open for BCom (H).
In terms with the OBC admissions, Economics (H) is still being offered in almost twenty two colleges where Hindu College has the highest cut-off with 85.75 to 89.25 per cent with not enough change or variation from the last cut-off for the same course.
Apart from the major ‘chalk and paste’ admissions, many principals of Delhi university colleges have now questioned the HRD minister’s authority to take decisions and talk about the admission policy. Some of the principals are in complete mood to write to the administration on the issue, while some will hold internal meetings to discuss the issue and its development
