Directorate of Shipping, Port Blair Notified Recruitment for 55 Various Posts 2013

Directorate of Shipping, Port Blair has invites applications in the prescribed format from the eligible candidates belonging to the following categories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, who are possessing requisite qualifications for filling up the various vacancies of following posts. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of Islands at the junction of Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. The economy is driven by agriculture, wood based and Handicraft units.

Educational Qualification

• Mazdoor: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution.
• Tinsmith: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed and  ITI Trade Certification in Tinsmith from a recognized institute
• Coppersmith: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed and ITI Trade Certification in Coppersmith from a recognized institute.
• Machine Turner: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed and Trade Certificate in Lathman from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI)    
• Assistant Store Keeper: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution and Should have the basic knowledge in operation of Computer
• Driver: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution and Knowledge of Driving.
• Table Boy: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution
• Cleaner: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution
• Light Vehicle Driver: Secondary School (Xth std.) examination passed from a recognized Board/ Institution with valid Light Motor Vehicle Driving License.

Pay Scale

• Mazdoor: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-
• Tinsmith: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Coppersmith: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Machine Turner: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Assistant Store Keeper: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Driver: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
• Table Boy: PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-

How to Apply

The candidates should submit their applications in the prescribed format duly filled in English or Hindi alongwith the attested copies of certificate should be sent to “The Assistant Director (Admn.) Directorate of Shipping Services, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Port Blair – 744101” latest before the closing date.

The last date of submission of application in the Directorate is 20 December 2013 upto 5.00 PM. The candidates already in Govt. Employment must send their application through their respective Head of Office. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed as “Application for the post of Mazdoor, Tinsmith, Coppersmith, Machine Turner, Assistant Store Keeper, Driver, Table Boy, Cleaner and Light Vehicle Driver”.
