There are various Engineering Entrance Examinations in India like National Level Engineering Entrance Examinations (like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, National Admission Test etc), State level(like UPSEE, WBJEE, TNEA etc) and University Level Engineering(like BVP, SRMJEE, AMUEEE etc) conducted every year to offer admission to students in different Engineering colleges. Securing admission to one of the most sought after academic programmes in the country i.e. Engineering is not an easy task. The challenge is further compounded by the fact that different universities and institutes accept rank and score of different engineering entrance tests to screen students for admission to the B.Tech programmes. As the name clearly suggests, these examinations are conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by state level universities and institutions. Because, these are state level exams, the competition quotient is average. In addition to the national and state level tests, there are certain university or institute-specific tests that students need to clear if they want to secure admission to B.Tech programmes. They are known to conduct their own in-house engineering entrance test to admit students to the B.Tech programme.
