IIMs have been conducting the Common Admission test(CAT) in online format since last 3 years now but candidates get worried about the online mode of entrance exam, specially when it is their first attempt.
To avoid the hiccups and make it a smooth process a practical examination guide has been launched for the aspirants.
Read on to find out what all you need to take care of as a CAT 2012 Aspirant.
There are 2 Examination sessions:
Morning Session begins at 10:00 a.m. for which candidates should reach the test center at 8:30 a.m.
Evening Session begins at 3:15 p.m. for which candidates should reach the test center at 1:45 p.m.
Candidates need to bring the following at the test center:
- CAT 2012 Admit Card
- One original Photo Identity Card
- SC/ST candidates need to bring a valid document proving their SC/ST eligibility
- Differently Abled (DA) candidates requiring support during the test need to bring an authorisation from Prometric and photo identification of a scribe.
Exam Duration and Pattern:
Test Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes with 70 minutes allocated per section including 15 minutes Tutorial. DA Candidates will get additional 60 minutes with 30 minutes per section
There will be 2 sections in the exam: Candidates first need to complete Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation with 30 questions and then Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning with 30 questions
An Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) is available on 1-800-102-2256 for the candidates.
