Experiential learning training at MSME Agra for Engineering Students of Sanskriti University
Sanskriti University firmly believes in imparting academic learning with practical approach that is based on the guidelines of present day industrial needs. In order to meet this objective of achieving excellence, the University has included Industrial visit and experiential learning modules in its curriculum of technical education.
Mathura: Sanskriti University firmly believes in imparting academic learning with practical approach that is based on the guidelines of present day industrial needs. In order to meet this objective of achieving excellence, the University has included Industrial visit and experiential learning modules in its curriculum of technical education. Based on the potential and screening process, 26 students of the Diploma Engineering Mechanical and Production Batch were shortlisted and taken to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Center, Agra, where they were given thorough training on latest technical machines. This helped them to learn and gain practical insight about the operational and functional aspects of the machines.
The students who received the training in Center of Excellence at Sanskriti University went through rigorous and insightful Industrial Trip under the able guidance and mentorship of faculty members including Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Gaur, Assistant Prof. Ajay Agrawal, Assistant Prof. Dharmendra Singh and Assistant Prof. Rahul Prajapati. As a result, the team of selected students was able to learn various aspects of Machines and MSME Center, Agra.

The experts from the Center of Excellence told the participating students about the progress made technological field and the importance of skill development. In the session, the experts also pointed out about the mechanism and importance of CNC machine and Robotics in the context of human development. Different types of electronic components are used to make the robot, wherein the sensors of touch and pressure work as hands, sensors of light work as the eyes, sound sensors work as ears and chemical sensor work as nose. Experts went on teaching students about the computer informatics and intelligence that can be imbibed or integrated for performing any particular task. The university’s future research activities will be based on CNC Machines and Robotic Technology. On this occasion, technical experts gave an overview of modern technological machines and their operational aspects to students.
Vincent Balu, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, said that the students of Sanskriti University learnt a lot and gained insightful knowledge about the latest machines, latest tools and their functions in the industrial visit to Agra. The technical experts told the students about the implementation of latest technical experiment and how all these technical things can bring more efficiency in their programming skills. A question/answer round was also conducted on this occasion, where students raised their concerns and got satisfying answers from the experts.
Rajesh Gupta, Pro-Chancellor of Sanskriti University said in his message that the true educational knowledge of key facts is obtained through academic tours and industrial visits. This also helps in building a candidate’s experience. The reason behind promoting academic excursions is to monitor and evaluate the possibilities in the industrial areas after thorough inspection of technical facts. The objective of sending students to educational tours is to build practical skills, confidence and sense of responsibility among the students. After the industrial visit, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rana said students to keep on the practice of hard work and implement the knowledge gained in the industrial visit in an effective way.
