Export Inspection Council of India, New Delhi, under Department of Commerce, Minstry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, invited online applications for recruitment to 2 posts of Joint Director (Technical) with it and its Export Inspection agencies having their headquarters at Chennai/ Delhi/ Kochi/ Kolkatta/ Mumbai. Export Inspection Council of India is the offical export inspection and certification body established by the Government.

Vacancy Details

1. Joint Director (Technical): 2 posts

Vacancy No.: 1213/01

Pay Scale: Pay band III of Rs.15600-39100 + grade pay of Rs.7600

Eligibility Criterion:

Age limit: (as on 14 July 2014)

Minimum: 35 years

Maximum: 45 years

[upper age limit is relax-able by 3 years for OBC category candidates, by 5 years for SC/ ST category candidates]

Qualifications: Degree in Science/ Engineering Technology; competency to handle Adminstrative and Technical problems at Senior Adminstrative level in large organisation set for development of export trade through quality control and other measures; adequate knowledge of government rules and regulations; knowledge of modern mangement techniques;

Selection Procedure

Selection of candiadtes will be done on the basis of their performance in the interview.

Only short-listed candiates will be called for the interview.

Travel allowance: Outstation SC/ ST candidates called for Interview will be paid to and fro single 2^nd class rail fare on production of travel proof.  

Application Fees

Non-refundable application fee of Rs.500 is to be paid through a crossed DD drawn in favour of ‘Export Inspection Council of India’ payable at Delhi.

SC/ ST/ PH and female candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
