Freedom Fighter Grandchildren to get Reservation in Bihar

To pay tribute to the sacrifices and devotion that the freedom fighters had shown towards the nation, the Bihar government has announced to give reservations in government jobs for grandchildren of these freedom fighters alive.

To pay tribute to the sacrifices and devotion that the freedom fighters had shown towards the nation, the Bihar government has announced to give reservations in government jobs for grandchildren of these freedom fighters alive. Under the Swantantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme the central government is already paying pensions to the 170200 freedom fighters and their dependents.

The government of Bihar has now decided to give reservations of two percent in government jobs to the grand children of freedom fighters. The decision was taken during a state cabinet meeting and was circulated as order that the grand children of the brave freedom fighters would be given reservation. The names of the freedom fighters should be on the list prepared by the Union government in order to avail the benefit. The granddaughters on the other hand would get marriage assistance of Rs. 51 Thousand by the Government.
