Board of school education, Haryana (BSEB) had released the HTET notification 2018. The HTET exam is scheduled to be held on 5th Jan 2019 and 6th Jan 2019. The motives behind conducting HTET exam (BSEH) as a minimum qualification for a person to be eligible for recruitment as a teacher in Haryana government schools are as follows-
- It will induce the teaching standards and quality education in the government schools.
- Candidates, who had appeared in HTET exam, can improve their score in the next attempts.
- There is no restriction on the number of attempts. Therefore, a candidate can appear in the HTET exam as many times as he/she wish to improve his/her score.
- The HTET qualification certificate will remain valid for the next 5 years from the date of issue.
The HTET exam 2018 will be conducted in offline mode for three levels namely Level-1 (PRT), Level-2 (TGT), and Level-3 (PGT). More detail on HTET exam’s levels is given below-
- Level-1 (Primary Teacher / PRT): candidates, who want to be a teacher for Class I to V.
- Level-2 (Trained Graduate Teacher / TGT): candidates, who want to be a teacher for Class VI to VIII
- Level-3 (Post Graduate Teacher / PGT): candidates, who want to be a teacher for Class IX to XII

HTET exam 2018-19 Eligibility Criteria
For appearing in the HTET exam, a candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria laid by BSEH. The Haryana board has not put any specific age limit to appear in the HTET exam. To become a primary teacher for Class I to V, a candidate must have passed the senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 55% marks and he/she must have passed or appeared in 2-years diploma in elementary education from the recognized board. For TGT posts, a candidate must have passed B.Ed. from a recognized institute and the candidates appearing for HTET PGT exam must have post-graduation degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. The exam pattern of HTET for all levels including PRT, TGT, and PGT posts will remain the same as given in the following table. Besides this, the qualifying marks in these exams for all categories of Haryana state and schedule castes, differently abled / physically challenged of other states are 60% of the total marks. While the qualifying marks for schedule castes, differently abled / physically challenged of Haryana state is 55% of the total marks. There shall be only one separate paper for PGT, PRT, and TGT exam.

The admit card is released by BSEH on HTET website. Registered candidates can download your admit card for all three levels separately by following the below steps. Candidates are advised to check all the prime information on the admit card before appearing in the HTET exam.

HTET Exam 2018-19 Cutoff Marks
In the HTET exam, there will be no sectional/subject wise cutoffs. The cutoff marks will be decided on the total marks. BSEH (Haryana Board of School Education) had notified the separate cutoff marks for SC/ST, general castes, and SC/ST of other states as per the order of the honorable court.
