Education Qualification:
Candidates should be Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Note: Candidates applying for the post should be in possession of C.A. professional qualification completed in all respect at the time of applying for the post. They should have also completed the mandatory Article-ship Training required for award of C.A. qualification at the time of applying.
Application Fee & Processing Fee:
A Non-Refundable amount of Rs.535 (Application fee of Rs. 500 and banking charges of Rs.35) has to be paid either in cash through fee payment challan at State Bank of India (SBI) or Online through Debit/Credit card.
[SC/ST & PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application & Processing Fee.]
A. Payment through challan at State Bank of India (SBI):
The 3-part [1.Candidate copy, 2.HPCL copy, 3.Bank (SBI) copy] payment challan is available on HPCL website. Candidates should take its print out and deposit the non-refundable amount of Rs.535 through it in “HPCL Power jyoti account” at any SBI branch.
The payment has to be made after 2 working days from the date of submission of online application form.
Candidates would be required to provide the unique application/reference no and their date of birth for depositing the fees. On successful deposition of fees, candidates will be provided the ‘Candidate’s copy’ and the ‘HPCL copy’ of 3 part challan along with a Journal No. stamped/written on them. Candidates should check that the Journal No entered on the candidate copy and the HPCL copy of the Challan is same and retain/preserve both the copies for future reference.
Once the HPCL receives the payment against the application no. the online payment status will change to “Payment Received”. This process will take 2-3 working days. If the payment status does not change to “Payment Received” within 2-3 working days from making the payment, candidates should upload the Challan details along with scan copy of Challan against the online application on HPCL website.
Candidates can view their status of payment of application fee by logging in HPCL website with application / reference no. & e-mail ID (as mentioned in online application), after 2-3 working days from actual payment date.
B. Online Payment through Debit/Credit card:
Candidates wishing to make online payment should have a Debit/Credit card which they can use to make payment. On successful transaction, the payment status will automatically change to “Payment Received”. Once the payment is done, Candidates are required to take print of acknowledgment of payment and preserve the same for future reference.
In case the payment status does not change immediately, candidates are required to re-try payment through Debit/ Credit card or switch to payment through challan at SBI.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates found eligible on scrutiny of online application will be called for personal interview. They would be required to produce Certificate of Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at the time of Interview.
Personal Interview would consist of assessment of behavioral competencies, wherein candidates will be required to qualify in behavioral interview. Candidates qualifying in the Personal Interview will be required to undergo pre-employment medical examination. Reference for medical examination does not mean final selection.
The final selection / Offer of Employment will be based on the candidates CA Final marks in both Groups and candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview (consisting of behavioral competencies) on being declared ‘Medically Fit’ by HPCL designated Physician.
Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NC & PWD would be assessed under relaxed standards during personal interview. A category-wise merit list will be drawn for all the candidates who qualify in all selection parameters as per above criterion & offer of appointment would be as per vacancies available category-wise.
Remuneration Package:
Selected candidates will be on Probation for one year and they will be placed initially at the entry level in the Management Cadre in “A” grade in the Salary Scale of Rs.24,900-50,500.
Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled to allowances at 50% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Superannuation Benefits as per Corporation’s policy in force from time to time. On confirmation, the CTC would be approx. Rs.8.5 lakhs per annum**. In addition to this,Performance Related Pay (PRP) is also paid as per the Corporation’s policy.

Retention Amount:
An amount of Rs. 5000/- per month will be deducted as retention amount from the total emoluments for first six months during the period of probation. The amount will be refunded to the officers only after their confirmation in salary grade ‘A’. The retention amount will be forfeited, upon leaving the Corporation or termination of service before the confirmation.

Candidates should fill in the online form with all the relevant details carefully (details once submitted cannot be modified) , upload scanned copy of their latest passport size photograph (in jpg / gif format less than 500 kb) and submit it.
On successful submission of form, the system will generate a unique 12 Digit Application/Reference No.
Candidates are required to note this Application / Reference No. and take a printout of the submitted Online Application Form and preserve both of them for future reference. After depositing the form, candidates will have to choose the option for Payment of Application & Processing Fee -- Payment through challan at SBI OR through Debit/ Credit card and proceed accordingly.
Note: Candidates are “NOT” required to submit hard copy of application form to HPCL.
