IAS Admit Card for IAS Pre Exam 2016, Available at upsconline.nic.in, Exam on 07 Aug

UPSC IAS Prelims 2016 Admit Card released on www.upsconline.nic.in 01 July 2016 more than a month prior to Civil Services IAS Prelims Exam 2016 to be held on 07 August 2016.

Candidates applied for the Civil Services (IAS) Prelims 2016 exam can download the admit card at the official portal UPSC Online i.e. upsconline.nic.in or the link given below.

Candidates are required to follow the instructions before downloading the hall ticket for IAS Prelims 2016. The IAS prelims exam is scheduled to be held on 07 August 2016.

IAS Pre Exam 2016 will be held in two stages: Preliminary Exam and Main Exam which would be followed by interview. Only those candidates who qualify the Preliminary Examination will be allowed to appear for Main Examination.

The Commission is going to conduct the examination for selecting eligible candidates against 1079 vacancies at various centres across the country.

IAS Exam 2016 will consist of Paper A and Paper B of Indian Language and English. Papers to be counted for merit are:

  • Paper-I: Essay                
  • Paper-II: General Studies-I (Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society)
  • Paper-III: General Studies – II (Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations)
  • Paper-IV: General Studies – III (Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management)
  • Paper-V: General Studies – IV (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude)
  • Paper-VI: Optional Subject - Paper 1 
  • Paper-VII: Optional Subject -Paper 2  

The Commission had invited application for the much coveted IAS Exam 2016 on 27 April. The last date for submission of applications was 27 May.
