IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) Preliminary examination conducted on 30th and 31st December successfully. There were three sections in the examination. The mains examination is scheduled to be held on 28th January 2018. The exam was conducted for 125 marks comprised of 150 questions with a time of two hours.
Pattern of Examination: The examination has 3 sections - Reasoning, General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry, English Language (For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari) and - Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language (For the Post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer). In the examination, there was a objective type of questions. The candidates shall be required to qualify in each section as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of performance in each section and also on a total weighted score. Negative marking is applicable for the Objective Test. For every wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
