IGNOU’s PG Diploma in HIV Medicine Admission Notification 2011

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites application from MBBS doctors for one year training in HIV medicine.

Name of the Course: PG Diploma in HIV Medicine Admission

Duration: Minimum 1 year, Maximum 3 years

Medium of Instruction: English

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should be registered MBBS Doctors (MCI Recogniesd) after completion of internship.

Important Dates

Last Date to send application: 31 August 2011

Programme Fee: Rs 30, 000 for the entire programme

Selection Procedure: About 60-70% seats will be filled through sponsorship by NACO. For the 1 Year, The selection will be done on the basis of a merit list as per following guidelines.

• Preference will be given to those having MD degree. More Weightage could be given to those in Medicine/ Obst & Gynae/ Paediatric/ PSM/ Microbiology
• Second preference to those having a recognised Diploma degree
• Third preference to those having experience in HIV/ AIDS

If there are a large number of applications for the non sponsored seat in any regional centre, a selection committee representing NACO and IGNOU will be created to take further decisions.

The applicant should submit the application form in the following address- Programme Coordinator, Room No 149, School of Health Sciences, D-Block, Raman Bhawan, New Academic Complex, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi New Delhi-110068. The applications should be made on prescribed form so as to reach IGNOU before the due date.
