Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal invites applications for admissions, for its Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM)programme. The PGDFMis 2 year duration programme, recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The PGDFM is equivalent to a corresponding Master’s Degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The course aims to impart and instill management skills in the areas of forests, environment, livelihood and conservation as well as development management.
The admission will be based on the score of Common Admission Test (CAT) which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, each year. However, CAT score would just determine the eligibility, the applicant still have to separately apply to IIFM by filling application forms.
The eligibility criteria for this course demand the applicant to possess at least 3 year Bachelor's degree in any disciplined pursued through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification.
Those who are in their final year of graduation examinations can also apply provided that they complete the graduation before June 30, 2014 along with fulfilling the other eligibility criteria as fixed by IIFM.
The last date for the application submission to IIFM is January 21, 2014.
