IIM Bodhgaya has successfully concluded the final placement drive for the outgoing PGP batch of 2016-18. IIM Bodhgaya is one of the youngest IIMs of the country and despite this has managed to put up impressive placement statistics, breaking its past records and setting new benchmarks for the B-school. Another highlight that is reflected in this year’s IIM Bodhgaya Placement 2018 report is that, the B-school has managed to place its largest batch yet, while also managing to invite the maximum number of recruiters so far. The institute has also managed to secure the best placement statistics in terms of both, highest salary offered and average salary of the batch this year. Let’s look at these and many other highlights of the IIM Bodhgaya Placement 2018 report.
One of the key highlights of IIM Bodhgaya Placement Report 2018 was that the institute registered a steep hike in the highest salary offered, which stood at Rs 24 lakhs per annum. Similarly, the average salary package offered to the students also saw a hike rising to Rs 10.60 lakhs per annum. The average salary of top 50% students was registered at Rs 13.05 lakhs while for top 25% of the batch was recorded at 15.50 lakhs.
This year, IIM Bodhgaya saw maximum number of offers being extended to the students from the largest pool of recruiters to participate in the final campus placements at the B-school, so far. The most notable among them included:
Another first for the new IIM was the increase in the diversity of roles being offered to the students walking out of the campus as part of the PGP batch 2016-18. The IIM Bodhgaya Final Placement Report for 2018 saw students being offered roles in a host of mainstream as well as niche profiles. These included:
One of the many reasons that have contributed significantly to the successful completion of Final Placements 2018 at IIM Bodhgaya is the arrival of new director. The B-school recently got its new Director Dr. Vinita Sahay after a long wait, which has restored the confidence of recruiters in the B-school and the management education imparted by it.
Currently, IIM Bodhgaya is being mentored by IIM Calcutta. This means that during the mentorship period, faculty members from IIM-C are delivering the lectures to students at IIM Bodhgaya, until the permanent faculty members for IIM-Bodhgaya are recruited. Simply put, it means that the course curriculum, design and teaching pedagogy followed at the new IIM are on the same lines as that of the management giant i.e. IIM Calcutta.
