Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced innovatory changes in the examination pattern to lessen student’s stress.
The overall assessment marks of particular subject are also included in Class 10th Final marks of the concerned subject.
In 2009-2010, the scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evolution (CCE) was brought in and has alienated the assessment of students' performance into a year-long format. The assessment is subdivided into Summative Assessment and Formative Assessment.
The marks obtain in the board are the part of summative assessment, comprising SA1 for first term whereas the final upcoming examinations, board or internal will be considered under SA2.
Class 10 Final results will depend on 60 % on summative assessment (SA1 and SA2) while 40 % on formative assessment.
CBSE will offer question paper and marking scheme for final examination including External and Internal board. In addition, students will receive their certification from the CBSE whether they have given Internal or External Board.
However, only Summative Assessment marks will be deemed during switching the school.
