IAF Agniveervayu Musician Selection Process 2024: The Indian Air Force (IAF) selects Agniveervayu musician through well designed selection process which includes proficiency test in playing musical instruments, english written test, physical fitness test, adaptability test, physical measurement test and medical examination.
The Indian Air Force is going to counduct a recruitment process for Agniveervayu musician from July 03, 2024 to July 12, 2024 under the Agnipath scheme to join the IAF as an Agniveervayu.
The selected Agniveervayu will serve in the Indian Air Force for four years. After completing four years of service 25% of Agniveers will be enrolled as regular carders in the Indian Air Force based on organisational requirements.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Musician Selection Process
The selection process for Agniveervayu musician in the Indian Air Force includes tests assessing candidates' skills in playing musical instruments, educational knowledge, physical fitness, adaptability to the IAF environment, and medical condition.
Proficiency test in playing musical instruments
Candidates will have to undergo Proficiency Test in playing musical instruments which will be conducted individually or with group of instruments.
English written test
The Indian Air Force will conduct an offline written test to assess the candidates' understanding of English language and their use of words. This paper will include questions based on grammar rules, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. The duration of the test will be 30 minutes, comprising 30 questions aligned with the Matriculation syllabus. Results of the written test will be declared on the same day, and candidates must qualify this test to proceed further in the selection process.

Physical Fitness Test
The candidates should be physically fit to join the Indian Air Force. To ensure this they conduct a physical fitness test which consists of the following parameters.

Adaptability Test
All candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) shall have to undertake the Adaptability Test (objective type written test) which is to assess the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather, and operational conditions.
Medical Test
Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II shall be medically examined in the month of July 24 at AFS Kanpur and AFS Yelahanka. Medical Examination shall be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue on subject issue. Medical examination would also include Baseline Investigation of:-
- Blood Haemogram - Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelet
- Urine RE/ME
- Biochemistry
- Blood Sugar Fasting & PP
- Serum Cholesterol
- Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine
- LFT- Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT
- X-Ray chest (PA view)
- Ultrasonography of lower abdomen & Pelvis (For female candidates only)
- ECG (R)
- Any other test necessary in the opinion of the Medical Officer.
Candidates declared medically unfit can avail the option for ‘Appeal Medical Board’ (AMB) against their unfitness by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/ RBI/ SBI through Electronic Military Receivable Order/ Military Receivable Order (e-MRO/ MRO). The application for AMB along with original copy of e-MRO/ MRO, photocopy of Unfitness Certificate are to be submitted to the representative of 3 ASC & 7 ASC, AF within three working days of medical examination. AMB Centre will be AF Gorakhpur and AFS Jalahalli.
The Recruitment Medical Officer and the specialist doctors of Armed Forces are the final authorities on declaring a candidate fit or unfit during initial medical examination, appeal medical board and medical examination prior to enrolment. The candidates shall be governed by Armed Forces standards which may be at variance from civil standards. There is no provision for representation or review after the appeal medical board.
Physical Measurement Test
The candidates who clear the PFT will go for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Physical measurement will be carried out as per the Physical standards mentioned below. The PMT will be conducted at the AFS.
- Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
- Chest: Minimum range of expansion is 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Hearing: Able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
- Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
