Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professor Job
Educational Qualification:
- Assistant Professor (CTVS): i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-2 of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act).
ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D./M.S.
iii) M.Ch. in CTVS (Two years or Three years or Five years or Six years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
iv) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch. in CTVS (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- Assistant Professor (Nuclear Medicine): i) A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-2 of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act).
ii) A postgraduate qualification i.e. M.D. in Nuclear Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
iii) Three years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Nuclear Medicine or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- Assistant Professor (Dentistry): i) A Graduate Dental Qualification e.g. included in Part-I of Dentist Act, 1948
ii) MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- Assistant Professor (Medical Oncology): i) A Medical Qualification included in Schedule 1 & 2 or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-2 of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).
ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D./M.S.
iii) D.M. in Medical Oncology (Two years or Three years or Five years or Six years recognized course after MBBS) or recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
iv) One year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the Degree of D.M. in Medical Oncology (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- Assistant Professor (Ophthalmology): i) A Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-2 of the third Scheduled should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act).
ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D./M.S. in Ophthalmology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
