The University of Delhi has introduced a new fellowship – the Vice-Chancellor's Fellowship Program, for its academics in order to give a boost to the University’s scholarly projects.
The Vice-Chancellor's Fellowship Program of DU is open for all the permanent academic employees of the University who are below the age of 45 as on 31 December 2013. Under this Fellowship Program, they can apply for 10 positions, which will be on deputation for the duration of a full calendar year commencing from 01 January 2014.
The deadline for applying to this special fellowship program is 15 December 2013.
The takers of this fellowship program will have to have the ability of bold and out-of-the-box thinking so that they can contribute in original and significant ways in broad areas and themes/programs fall under the university's major activities in the coming days.
The program entails developing meaningful ideas, and effective ways of providing instruction in the Foundation and Application Courses of undergraduate level. All the Vice-Chancellor's Fellow will be required to do such activities by means of technology-based platforms or through production of reading/learning material with the support of leading international institutions.
The Vice-Chancellor's Fellow shall be required to travel on purposes of training and collaboration, and they will be subjected to a special 'Deputation Allowance' in addition to their regular salary and allowances.
