This year class 12 CBSE mathematics paper conducted on March 18, was found to be the toughest in a decayed, which left the students completely depressed and shattered. The issue was raised in the Lok Sabha by K.V Thomas, a Congress member from Ernakulam in Kerala.
The Congress member said, " CBSE should rope in the experienced and senior people to set in the board exams because these board exams intensely affect the students’ future."
The students after appearing for the Mathematics exam complained the question paper to be beyond their level and also said that the paper being too lengthy couldn’t be completed within the allotted time.
“The paper was quite tough and seemed to be equivalent to the IIT-JEE test. The pattern of the type of questions asked in the exam was way different from the traditional pattern followed by the CBSE. Most of the students could not attempt it well. So as a remedial step CBSE should either reconduct the exam or adopt a liberal attitude during evaluation of the answer sheets.” said a mthematics teacher.
