Jagran Josh: What was your rank in JEE Advanced-2014? In which branch and institution you are currently studying
Archit Sharma: I secured 376th rank in JEE Advanced-2014 and currently studying in Electrical branch of IIT – Kanpur.
Jagran Josh: What are your views on current paper pattern of JEE MAIN & Advanced-2014?
Archit Sharma: Pattern is good. JEE MAIN acts as a filter for JEE Advanced which Makes JEE Advanced very competitive.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Physics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Archit Sharma: Try to understand the concepts. Reference books: H.C. Verma.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Chemistry and which books did you refer for this subject?
Archit Sharma: Reference books: Class notes; Inorganic Chemistry: Solomons & fryhle.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Mathematics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Archit Sharma: Practice is very much required for mathematics.
Jagran Josh: Is coaching is necessary to crack JEE Advanced exam?
Archit Sharma: Coaching has its role but without coaching, a candidate has to work very hard.
Jagran Josh: Did you attend any 'mock tests'? Do you think they're necessary for the preparation of JEE MAINS & Advanced?
Archit Sharma: Mock tests are very necessary as these tests provides actual preparation level of a candidate.
Jagran Josh: What was your strategy in answering the questions in JEE MAIN?
Archit Sharma: Go through the complete paper initially and after that try to solve easy questions.
Jagran Josh: Did you follow any particular strategy in answering the questions in JEE Advanced-2014?
Archit Sharma: Go for the subject in which you are comfortable and don’t leave mathematics for last as it is calculative and time taking.
Jagran Josh: Is there any specific observation or tips you want to give about JEE MAINS & JEE Advanced?
Archit Sharma: Stay motivated.
