The counseling schedule of JEE Main 2017 has been released now, that will be conducted through online mode from 15th June 2017 by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). JEE Main is managed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which offers admission into engineering and architecture courses.
The counseling will be held in around 7 rounds which can provide admission to 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, 20 other GFTIs. Only those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2017 can only participate in the counseling process. The last date to apply for the counseling of JEE Main 2017 is 26th June and the first round of seat allotment will be announced on 28th June. It should be noted that the seat allocation will be completely on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) of candidates
There will be various stages in the counseling process which are compulsory for all candidates to get the final allotment confirmation and to join the course that includes online registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, payment of fees, reporting to the RC and reporting to the allotted institutes.

Documents Required
Candidates have to bring the following original documents & a set of self-attested photocopies to the reporting center for verification. The documents are:
- Three passport size photographs (uploaded during registration)
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
- Photo identity card
- JEE Main 2017 Admit Card
- JEE Main 2017 Score Card
- Date of birth proof
- Class XII Mark sheet
- Category certificate (if applicable)
