JTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The Jharkhand Academic Council in Ranchi has announced the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) Notification 2024. The last date to apply for the JTET 2024 exam is August 24, 2024. The exam will be conducted in two stages: Level 1 for the Primary Stage (Classes 1-5) and Level 2 for the Upper Primary Stage (Classes 6-8). Interested candidates must ensure that they enter only valid details related to their JTET eligibility criteria. In short, any 12th pass candidate or graduate who is at least 18 years old is eligible for the JTET 2024 exam.

JTET Age Limit: What is the age limit for Jharkhand TET 2024?

There are no details about the JTET age limit mentioned in the official notification. However, candidates must be at least 18 years or above when applying for the Jharkhand TET exam.

JTET Educational Qualification 2024

Jharkhand TET Eligibility 2024 For Paper 1

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

• Candidates with BA/B.Sc with minimum 50% marks and a B.Ed degree from a recognized university.

JTET Eligibility 2024 Paper 2

Aspirants who want to become teachers from Classes 6 to 8 must appear for the Jharkhand TET Paper 2. Here are the detailed JTET Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024.

• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year D.Ed

OR

• Graduation with 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with 50%.

OR

• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)/4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

• Passed B.A.(Education)/B.Sc (Education)/B.Ed (Special Education) with at least 50% marks.

JTET Eligibility 2024 Nationality
