Karnataka Examination Authority to publicize Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2015 Results today

    The Karnataka Common Entrance Test -2015 results (KCET Result 2015) which were earlier scheduled to be announced on 26-05-2015 have been postponed and will be announced today i.e on 01-06-2015, Consequently, all other Schedules stand changed which will be announced shortly for the information of candidates.

    The CET Karnataka results 2015 are expected to be available online from 12.30 p.m. onwards. Students can log on to the following websites to obtain their ranks: kea.kar.nic.in, cet.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.

    However, the dates of document verification and counselling are yet to be announced.

    The KCET is conducted for admissions to various professional courses in Karnataka. CET 2015 ranks will be the basis for admission to engineering, architecture, medical, dental, AYUSH, farm sciences and veterinary courses.

    Where to check Karnataka CET Results 2015

    Check Here : According to an official release from the KEA, the Karnataka CET Results 2015 will be announced by 12:30 pm. Candidates can access the KCET 2015 results on the KEA websites http://kea.kar.nic.in, http://cet.kar.nic.in and http://karresults.nic.in

    The exam was held across the State in 343 exam centres on May 12 and 13. As many as 1,57,580 candidates appeared for the exam. Of these, 1,15,803 appeared for Biology, 1,48,177 for Mathematics, 1,53,576 for Physics and 1,53,556 for Chemistry.

    KEA officials said some CET candidates have approached them for change of caste/category mentioned in the CET application forms. They have been requested to personally approach the KEA with valid documents and proof for claiming reservation under any category provided on the CET forms.

    The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, in institutions within the State of Karnataka.

    A parallel entrance test is held by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association under the name of Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). This is independant of the government conducted CET and is used to fill some part of the seats of certain engineering/medical/dental colleges in Karnataka.

    non-Karnataka students (students not eligible to be considered in the Karnataka quota) cannot appear for the CET. They can only appear for the COMEDK examination.

    Documents required for Verification during Karnataka CET 2015 Counselling

    • KCET 2015 Admission Ticket.
    • Copy of filled KCET 2015 Application Form.
    • SSLC/Class X Marks sheet.
    • 2nd PUC/ Class XII Marks sheet.
    • Study Certificate counter signed by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
    • TWO recent passport size photographs.

     

    Karnataka CET 2015 Counselling - User ID and Password Assignment

    • Candidates, after completing Document Verification for Karnataka CET 2015 Counselling, will be assigned User ID and Password.
    • They have to use these User ID and Password to log in for option entry.
    • If they wish to change the password assigned, they can do so.

     

    Eligibility Criteria for CET 2015 Karnataka

    • Medical / Dental (MBBS / BDS): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga (ISM&H): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • Architecture (B.Arch): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Mathematics as compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) Minimum of 40% marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC/ST/OBC
    • B.Sc (Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri Biotech, Horticulture), B.H. Sc (Home Science): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects
    • Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for SC/ST/Cat-1, 2A, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • B.Tech (Food Technology, Dairy Technology), B.F. Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences), B.Tech (Food Science and Technology), B.Sc (Ag Marketing and Co-operation): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects
    • B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering): Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects
    • B-Pharma: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in PCM/PCB (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates); or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • 2nd Year B. Pharma: Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45 marks. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
    • Pharma-D: Passed in 2nd PUC/12th standard /equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; or Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institutions approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act
