Eligibility Criteria to become Tradesman in Ministry of Defense
In order to become a tradesman, one should have passed Class 10 in any subject from a recognized board or university. Along with Class 10 degree, candidates need these criteria as well to become a Tradesman.
The candidate should be in between 18 years and 25 years of age to apply for this particular job. The maximum age limit for reserved category, such as SC / ST / OBC / Divyang / Ex-employee / Freedom Fighters, is exempted according to the rules of government.
Selection Process to become Tradesman in Ministry of Defense
The selection process of Tradesman comprises of written exam, skill test / trade test and physical skills.
The written test consists of subjects as four subjects- General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The duration of the examination is for two hours.
The written examination comprises of negative markings which is 0.25. The candidates who qualify the written examination are called for Skill Test / Trade Test. In the test / trade test, candidates have to do tasks related to their respective trade and on the basis of their performance; they are shortlisted for the next stage. Successful candidates in the test / trade test examination are called for the Physical Skills Examination in which the candidates have to pass the following tests –
Pay Scale of Tradesman in Ministry of Defense
According to the Pay Per-Band1 pay of the Sixth Pay Commission to the post of Laboratory Attendant, Rs. Salary is given as per 5200-20200 and grade pay of Rs. 1800. In the organization which has been implemented in the Seventh Pay Commission, salary is given in accordance with the same level.
