Aditya: I secured 317th rank in JEE Advanced-2014 and currently studying in Electrical branch of IIT – Kanpur.
Jagran Josh: What are your views on current paper pattern of JEE MAIN & Advanced-2014?
Aditya: Pattern of JEE Advanced is very high and that of JEE MAIN and one can score easily in it.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Physics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Aditya: Reference books: H.C. Verma.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Chemistry and which books did you refer for this subject?
Aditya: Reference books: Class notes & NCERT.
Jagran Josh: What was your preparation strategy for Mathematics and which books did you refer for this subject?
Aditya: Reference Books: NCERT and A. Das Gupta.
Jagran Josh: Is coaching is necessary to crack JEE Advanced exam?
Aditya: Coaching is necessary as it provides guidance, atmosphere and motivation.
Jagran Josh: Did you attend any 'mock tests'? Do you think they're necessary for the preparation of JEE MAINS & Advanced?
Aditya: Mock tests are not necessary as one can attempt the questions from other sources as well.
Jagran Josh: What was your strategy in answering the questions in JEE MAIN?
Aditya: We can try all the questions in JEE MAIN but should mark only those which we are sure about.
Jagran Josh: Did you follow any particular strategy in answering the questions in JEE Advanced-2014?
Aditya: Attempted integer type questions first, then single choice correct and lastly multiple choices correct.
Jagran Josh: Is there any specific observation or tips you want to give about JEE MAINS & JEE Advanced?
Aditya: Utilize you time effectively.
