Labour Bureau under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, issued notification inviting applications for recruitment of 385 Investigators in 15 states / UTs for a period of 7 months and 120 Supervisors at 6 centers for a period of 8 months on contract basis under 4th Round of Employment-Unemployment Survey in Labour Bureau in various States and Union Territories. Eligibility Conditions:

Age limit: above 21 years (as on 1 July 2013)

Educational Qualifications: Masters Degree with Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Finance as one of the subjects or Graduate in Commerce or MBA in any discipline;

Fluency in the local language are eligible.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.

Only shortlisted candidates would be called for personal interviews. The venue, date and time of the interview shall be intimated to the shortlisted candidates through Speed Post.

By deputation:

For Investigators: Retired Persons, below 65 years of age, from State Government / Government of India from similar posts in Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and above, having at least 3 years experience in the field of data collection work , and those who are fit to travel can eligible to apply for the posts.

Desirable: Experience in the conduct of survey & data collection work along with knowledge of Computer application

For Supervisors: Retired Persons, below 65 years of age, from State Government / Government of India from similar posts in Grade Pay of Rs. 4600 and above, having at least 5 years experience in the required position and those who are fit to travel can eligible to apply for the posts.

Desirable: Minimum 2 years experience in the field of Data Collection, Socio Economic Surveys, Marketing, Academics, Computer / IT or in any other related discipline with Knowledge of Computer application.

The candidates are advised to apply only for one State / U.Ts. / Centre.
