MBA Admissions 2016: IIM Visakhapatnam calls candidates for Second Round

The Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam (IIMV) is all set to begin its second round of selection. The candidates should apply/respond to their e-mail latest by 28th April 2016.

The Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam (IIMV) is all set to begin its second round of selection. The candidates have been intimated about the same personally at their respective e-mails.

Following this process, the candidates are requested to re-confirm their interest in the PGP programme rolled out by the institute for the academic session 2016-18.

The final date for receiving the re-confirmation from the students is 28th April 2016. The candidates can re-confirm their interest by visiting the link sent to them at their e-mail. Alongside, they can also visit the official website of IIM Visakhapatnam.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in IIMV

The stage two selection process will be based on the given below criteria as mentioned by the institute. Shortlisted candidates would be selected for the final round in on the basis of these benchmarks:

Benchmark 1: The percentages in class 10 and 12 board exams are adjusted by dividing each score by the 90th percentile score secured in that board. The database of class 10 and 12 scores of all CAT of the past two years is used to identify the 90th percentile core for each class 10 and 12 board.

Benchmark 2: The final scores are obtained by using candidates’ score in Bachelor’s degree. Candidates who are awaiting their score can apply with their provisional degrees.

Benchmark 3: Candidates only with Charted Accountancy, Cost Accounting and Company Secretary certifications would be eligible for weightage under professional course. The work experience for the for qualified candidates would be drawn as follows:

                                                                =10 x/36 (if 0< x < 36)
                                                                =10 (if x >=36)

Here, x is equal to the months of experience (till September 2015, as mentioned in CAT application form) the highest score would be considered till 36 months of work experience.

IIMV has sent an e-mail to the candidates in order to re-affirm their interest in the admission in PGP programme. This e-mail in no form should be considered as an offer of admission in their PGP programme.
