Educational Qualification
Principal Officer (Nautical) Job 2016
(i) Certificate of Competency as Master (foreign going ships) with five years’ experience as Deck Officer of which one year must have been in the capacity of a Master on a foreign going merchant ship.
(ii) Extra Master’s Certificate of Competency with ten years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships; or Master of Science Degree in Maritime Affairs awarded by a recognised University with twelve years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipment on board such a ship.
