1. Fitter General Mechanic (Skilled): 12 posts
Pay Scale: Pay Band – I of Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs.1900 per month
Age limit: between 18 years and 25 years [for both direct recruits and ex-Naval Apprentices]
Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of English. Should hold National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by National Council of Vocational Training in the Fitter or equivalent Trade OR Mechanic or equivalent with 2 (two) years regular service in the appropriate Technical Branch of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
2. Fitter Electronic (Skilled): 5 posts
Pay Scale: Pay Band – I of Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs.1900 per month
Age limit: between 18 years and 25 years [for both direct recruits and ex-Naval Apprentices]
Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent with knowledge of English. Should hold National Apprenticeship Certificate issued by National Council of Vocational Training in the following trades:- Mechanic, Electronic, Radio Mechanic, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic or equivalent OR Mechanic or equivalent with 2 (two) years regular service in the appropriate Technical Branch of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Selection Procedure
Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written exam/ Interview.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written exam/ Interview.
Selected candidates would be liable to serve anywhere in India.
Selected candidates would be on probation for a period of one year.
Travel allowance: Unemployed SC/ST candidates are entitled for 2nd class rail fare on submission of certificate of unemployment along with original tickets.
