National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), Chennai Job Notification, NCSCM has invited applications from eligible candidates for 35 posts of Project Scientist & Project Assistants. The interested candidates can apply through the prescribed format online latest by 08 April 2017.
National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) is an autonomous centre of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India, aiming to be a world-class institution for coastal and marine area management. The Centre is established within the Anna University Campus, Chennai. Fourteen institutions have formed a consortium with NCSCM, with Anna University Chennai as the Hub. Therefore it is considered as a matter of pride to work NCSCM, Chennai. The eligible and interested candidates can appear for Walk-In-Interviews on two separate days as per the desired posts. The interviews will be conducted on 10 & 11 April 2017 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The last date of submission of duly filled forms is 08 April 2017.

Educational Qualifications :
For the post of Project Scientist I an applicant must possess Masters degree in Geo informatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ statistical software or Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Marine Science/ Life Science/ Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Marine Chemistry or its equivalent from a recognized university.
For the post of Project Associate I, II & III an applicant must possess Masters degree in Marine Science or Bachelors degree in Science or Masters degree in Geo informatics/ Civil Engineering/ Natural Science/ Geo informatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ statistical software/ Geology/ Cartography/ Surveying
For the post of Project Assistant I an applicant must possess Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Engineering or its equivalent or Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or HSC
Age Limit for posts under NCSCM, Chennai :
Project Scientist : Less than 45 years
Project Associate : Less than 35 years
Project Assistant : Less than 30 years
Relaxation in Upper Age limit for reserved category candidates will be provided as per Govt. Rules
Selection Procedure for the posts under NCSCM, Chennai
Selections to these Project Staff openings will made through a Walk-In-Interview. The eligible applicants can appear for the Walk-In-Interviews on 10 & 11 April 2017 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The venue of the interview will be National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management, Koodal Building, Anna University Campus, Chennai-600025.
