The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Meghalaya invited applications for recruitment to 4 posts of Assistant Professor (faculty positions) in the Department of Mathematics on permanent/ contract basis. 1. Assistant Professor
Pay Scale: Pay Band -3 with AGP of Rs.8000 per month
Min Basic Pay: Rs.30000 per month
Qualifications: Ph.D. with relevant work experience of 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M.Tech. degree or an equivalent position in a R&D laboratory or relevant industry.
2. Assistant Professor (on Contract)
Pay Scale: Pay Band -3 with AGP of Rs.7000 per month
Qualifications: Ph.D. with relevant work experience of one year
3. Assistant Professor (on Contract)
Pay Scale: Pay Band -3 with AGP of Rs.6000 per month + 07 additional non-compounded increments
Qualifications: Ph.D.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
Application fees: Non-refundable Application fee of Rs.500 (Rs.250 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) is to be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya’, payable at Shillong.
