North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Department of Basic Sciences and Social Sciences, School of Technology, Shillong,  invited applications for filling up 3 vacancies of Junior Research Fellow and Field Assistant under the MOEF sponsored project “Fragmentation of humid subtropical broad-leaved forests and its impact on plant diversity and ecosystem functions in Meghalaya, Northeast India” sanctioned to Dr. Krishna Upadhaya, Principal Investigator, Department of Basic Sciences and Social Sciences, School of Technology, NEHU, Shillong. Project Name: MOEF sponsored project “Fragmentation of humid subtropical broad-leaved forests and its impact on plant diversity and ecosystem functions in Meghalaya, Northeast India”

Project Sponsor: MOEF

Duration of the project: Three years

1. Junior Research Fellow: 2 posts

Remuneration: Rs.16000 per month + HRA @15%

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Botany/ Ecology/ Environmental Sciences/ Forestry; NET qualified candidates would be preferred.

2. Field Assistant: 1 post

Remuneration: Rs.6000 per month (fixed)

Qualifications: Class IX pass & work experience in a laboratory.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.

Only short-listed candidates will be called for appearing before a selection committee for interview at Department of Basic Sciences and Social Sciences, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong-793 022.
