Observing a Vigilance Awareness Week at IIIT-Allahabad

    To advocate and support transparency in the system, a Vigilance Awareness Week has been started at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad on 28 October 2013. A webpage has been created for the purpose that instills an environment of transparency & confidence within the system. The vigilance link page at the institute’s website was inaugurated by the IIIT-A director, MD Tiwari.

    Following the instruction of the Central Vigilance Commission, several measures have been taken to meet the objectives of this observation week, said Chief Vigilance Officer, Anurika Vaish. To mark the Vigilance Awareness Week, several competitive and non-competitive activities are included in the schedule of the event, she revealed further.

    In order to endorse the event, the Institute had displayed banners and posters at prime locations across the city. The circulation of guideline for vigilance sensitization and preventive measures will be issued today, on 29 October. This would be followed by an essay competition on 30 October and a debate on 31 October. A quiz competition is also scheduled to be held on 01 November 2013. The 02 November is dedicated to talks by eminent personalities and prize distribution session.
