OPSC is accepting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up Group A and Group B positions in the Odisha Government. The candidates applying for the announced vacancies must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility requirements and online application on or before the last date. In brief, any candidate who is at least 21 years old and has completed a graduation degree and is able to read, write and speak Odia is eligible to apply. The candidate applying for the announced vacancies must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 38 years as of January 1, 2024, i.e., candidates must not have been born earlier than January 2, 1986 and not later than January 1, 2003.
Relaxation in age will be given to reserved category candidates. Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years will be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen and by 10 years for persons with disabilities whose permanent disability is 40% or more. Persons with disabilities belonging to SC/ST/SEBC categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefits.
OPSC OCS Educational Qualification 2025
The educational qualification of the candidate is a very important factor in the eligibility of the candidate. As per the official notification, candidate who have completed graduation-level of education from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or a State Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.
OPSC OCS Language Requirement 2025
The candidates applying for the announced positions must be able to read, write and speak Odia and must have
- Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a Language subject; or
- Passed High School Certificate or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; or
- Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a School or
- Educational Institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; or
- Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha.
OPSC OCS Number of Attempts 2025
The candidates appearing in the examination shall be permitted 6 attempts. There will be no attempt limit for SC and ST candidates. The candidates belonging to socially & educationally backward classes will be eligible for 9 attempts.
Note:
- An attempt at a preliminary shall be deemed to be an attempt at the examination.
- If a candidate actually appears in any one paper in the Preliminary Examination, he/she shall be deemed to have made an attempt at the Examination.
