University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), came into existence in 2008 is one of the reputed Universities of the nation. USTM invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for admission to Doctor of Philosophy programme for the batch 2013.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who wish to apply should possess Master’s degree in relevant subject with at least 50% marks
- For PhD in subjects offered at School of Biological Sciences, MSc degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks is essential requirement.
Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will be based on the following two criteria:
- Marks secured in the entrance test
- Performance in the interview
Application Fee and Mode of Payment
The application fee is Rs 1500 and the payment of application form can be done through one of the modes.
- By cash payment to the Administrative Office of the university/selected branches of Axis Bank in North Eastern States and Rs 1000 can be paid through DD at the time of submission of form.
- Through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya” payable at Guwahati (downloaded form)
Those who want to get the application form through post will have to send a DD of Rs 1575 in favour of prior mentioned.
How to Apply
- Aspirants can either download the application form from the University’s website, via post or obtain it from Administrative office or designated branches of Axis Bank in North Eastern States.
- Applicants may submit completely filled-in application form along with self attested copies of all certificates and DD (in case of downloaded form) to the Administrative office of the University. Besides, the application form can also be send to the undersigned by post/ speed post/ courier so as to reach within the stipulated time span:
