Preparation strategy for IIT-JEE : Tips for Success

The IIT-JEE exam is taken by 4.85 candidates for seats in the one of the 15 IITs.  The exam is considered quite difficult with over 80-90% of the questions requiring out of the box thinking.

A suggested preparation strategy is:

1. Review the previous 10 Years Question Papers
2. Sample Papers / Model Test Papers / Model Examinations
3. Review the Class 11 and Class 12 Syllabus
4. Divide your study time into topics as per the Syllabus
5. Create a proper schedule for study with the requisite needed breaks
6. Understand your strengths and weaknesses, and focus on improving on your weaknesses
7. Understand where you make mistakes, and why you are making them
8. Understand problem solving methodologies - not try to memorize solutions
